Job Description:
Purpose: Weighmaster will perform the measurement and electronic entry of all Pulpwood, Chips and Biomass as they cross the weight scales.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assures that all incoming pulpwood, chip and residue trucks are properly weighed or measured
- Properly identifies wood species and weighs in/out trucks using the LIMS system
- Inspects loads for material not meeting specifications and makes scale deductions
- Communicates market intelligence from truckers and out of spec loads to the appropriate Fiber Supply and Woodyard personnel
- Directs trucks to proper unloading point
- Coordinates and prioritizes trucks to scale based on woodyard operating activity
- Measures all rail pulpwood cars received during his/her shift
- Maintains effective public relations by being courteous and respectful to people delivering wood, contractors, visitors, and Billerud employees
- Communicates accurately and effectively
- Performs weekly species composition estimates for Softwood and
- Hardwood loads
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Sawmill Chip & Wood Fuel Coordinator or his supervisor(s)
- Works safely / promotes safety / enforces mill safety procedures
- Has the ability to prioritize work in a sometime stressful environment
- Maintain clean community work area in the scale house
- Potential for some work offsite at Quinnesec

Personal qualities
Required Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of truck and rail transportation systems
- Working knowledge of wood species in the Lake States
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry, web browser)
- Basic Written and verbal communication skills
Travel: Negligible
