We are now looking for a Senior Manager, in Business Development and Product Management, Paper (it’s a temporary position)

 

In this role you’ll be responsible for driving growth and innovation of several product portfolios. You will be part of our Business Area Paper Team with the purpose of strengthening Billerud’s position in the global market of sustainable paper packaging material, as well as exploring new opportunities in related segments. The team consists of experts from business development, technical service, product management, sales, and innovation, all working collaboratively to create sustainable packaging material and solutions.

 

As a Senior Manager Paper, you will play a key role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, driving product innovation, and managing development projects, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.


 

Some of the tasks related to the position

  • To further improve Billerud´s position in the global market for the specific segment by creating and capturing added value opportunities
  • Monitor and provide market intelligence on market trends and competitor activities, identify and report trends and new requirements from all players in the value chain
  • Develop and maintain value-based offers for several players in the value chain such as converters and brand owners
  • Manage and coordinate brand owner and end-user activities
  • Identify prospects, develop new business models and further improve current business models to capture an increased share of the value created
  • Product management for the specific product groups. Optimize portfolio with regards to profitability. Drive mix enrichment and new product development
  • Project manage initiatives and tasks related to business plans and product roadmaps 
  • Ensure that business cases are created and evaluated to set strategy 
  • Drive and work with business intelligence related to competitors’ products, offers and market opportunities 
  • Actively participate in Product Team, Business Team and other product management forums
  • Contribute with product related input and analysis for feasibility of M&A projects and investments.

 

The role is based at our headquarters in Solna, Stockholm. The role has no direct reports.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, we believe you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales or business development, or related value chains.
  • Hands-on experience with owning and driving a product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of the segment and value chain.
  • A post-graduate degree in sales, business administration, marketing or economics.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Additionally, we are looking for you who has strong presentation and communication skills including international networking capability.
