MediKraft consists of 100% virgin fiber and purified pulp. The production process is well-controlled and includes the detection of contamination risks such as spots and holes, bioburden analysis, and rigorous inspection of chemicals warrants to ensure a pure and safe wrapping paper.
Industry-leading sustainability
According to Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, Billerud is one of the world’s most sustainable companies in its industry sector (2023). All papers are made of virgin fibers from sustainably managed forests and are recyclable in regular paper recycling stream. Our production uses 98% fossil-free energy, which we aim to increase to 100% by 2030. MediKraft is free from wet-strength chemical agents to maximize paper recyclability and circularity, and the paper is tested to be compostable and recyclable by external labs.
